Lawrence Underwood

Lawrence A. Underwood Sr., 76 of Colliers, WV passed away July 5, 2012 at Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV. He was born March 6, 1936 in Alma, WV to the late Perley and DeEtta Spencer Underwood Sr. He was retired from Weirton Steel Corp. in the Armature Shop, and was an Army Veteran during Peace Time. Larry was a member of the Colliers First Church of God, Colliers Sportsman Club, Northern Panhandle Trappers, 25 Year Club Weirton Steel, and Country Friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded by his son Lawrence “Larry” Underwood Jr. He is survived by his wife Janyce Kuhns Lower Underwood, four sons Troy Underwood (Jewel) of Colliers, WV, John Lower (Debbie) of PA, Cliff Lower (Marti) of OH, Steve Lower (Darla) of PA, three daughters Betsy Faulkner (Mark) of VA, DeEtta Burris (Donnie) of PA, Rosemary Underwood of FL, three brothers Perley Underwood Jr. (Diane) of OH, Joe Underwood (Nabbe), Robin Underwood (Elaine) both of Weirton, WV, two sisters DeAnna Riter of WV and Rosemary Stillson, of WV, sixteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2012 from 2-4& 6-8 p.m. at Reasner Funeral Home 1515 Charles St. Wellsburg, WV. Service will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at the Colliers First Church of God with Pastor Eric Spencer officiating. Interment will be at the Paris Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Colliers First Church of God, Old Police Lodge Rd. Colliers, WV 26035.
